- Look inside your house first. Dig through your boxes, search those drawers and looks for items that can still be used such rulers, pencils cases and backpacks. These items don't need changing every single year. If it's still in decent shape, why not use it again?
- Make a list and stick with it. Write down all the supplies you child may need this year. A list will give you an idea of what or what not to grab while shopping and avoid spending on supplies you don't intend to spend. You might get tempted to grab those cute items but think before doing so. Does your kid really need it? It's a waste of money if your child ends up not using some items you've bought.
- Shop early and look for great deals. Give yourself enough time to compare prices while your shop around.
